me, circa early 1800s, paying a stable boy a few coppers to ride overnight to deliver you an urgent letter with a thick wax seal that after you struggle to break it just says “bitch!” in tiny little writing
no no no, you don’t understand the true level of spiteful here. The sender of a letter didn’t pay for the post in 1800. The receiver did. You just made your enemy pay for the privilege of being insulted.
I’m starting to see why messengers were gettin’ shot
today there was a “flash mob” set up by the seniors because it was their second to last day so they blasted the macarena over the loud speaker and did the dance in the main lobby but our headmaster knew about it so it wasn’t even funny but whilst walking past the elevator i found out why they really did this so called “flash mob”
it was a distraction
they put chickens in the elevator
This was wild because I forgot your high schoolers are called seniors and I thought you were talking about old folks
what cis ppl in general will never understand is that casual, slight, vague transphobia still fuckin hurts. transphobic subtext hurts. CISNORMATIVITY hurts.
it’s the TINIEST things, like not having the option to choose your gender identity when signing up for something. when people joke about gender and it revolves around genitals. seeing everything, everywhere, pandering to cis gender roles. maybe there’s no ill intention behind this stuff. maybe they aren’t actually against trans people. but it still normalizes a generally cisgender society, and every time i come across it, it’s a reminder that we DO live in that society. and it hurts.
this is a post for trans people, about trans people, whether straight or not! don’t change it into anything else! cis people can reblog but don’t say shit!
white peonies to represent purity and loyalty. the constellation is a map connecting the starkiller base, jakku, takodana, and d’qar; finn’s journey so far. based on this photo of john.
[image description: a digital drawing of taako from the adventure zone, an elf with brown skin and long curly black hair, standing in front of a foggy background. he is wearing a purple hat, and many layers of colourful clothing in greens, purples, blues, and pinks. he is holding a pinkish red umbrella behind him in his right hand, and is raising his other hand in front of his chest. he is lit from his front by an unseen light source, his eyes glow like a cats. he has a bloody nose and a cut on his cheek.]
I find the twilight renaissance funny, and I’m all for eliminating cringe culture, but let’s remember that smeyer changed Quileute legends and beliefs to fit her narrative, gave animalistic/abusive traits to her Native characters, reinforcing the uncontrollable “savage” stereotype, made the “pure”, pale vampires constantly insult and antagonize the werewolves (whose land they were living on) for no reason, and overall wrote some pretty racist stuff about her Native characters
I am so angry. So I’m scrolling down years back on this blogs dashboard to find all the flagged artwork. About 70%- 80% of the things that are flagged are people of color. The next big thing is when two women are together, just about any painting of two women side by side is flagged. Unintentionally just about every painting of Lili Elbe the famous transgender woman who lived in the 1920s is flagged as adult content. My wedding photos are flagged as adult content. So just to be clear this algorithm is incredibly bigoted- or is programmed to be especially discriminating to minority groups.
